On a spring day, Chun-hee moves into an old apartment building near a hospital. There she meets Min-jun, a conductor who grew up in Germany and has come to Korea to find his biological mother. While waiting for news, he gives Chun-hee piano lessons and encourages the orphaned boy Seong-chan to dream of a future as a pianist.

Chun-hee had decided to end her life together with her husband through assisted dying. But before they can carry out their plan, her husband unexpectedly passes away.
