Jaw Breaker
This documentary tells the story of Anti Cimex, the band that helped shape Scandinavian hardcore punk and became one of Sweden’s most influential musical exports.
From their earliest recordings in a chicken coop on the plains of Västergötland to the international punk scene, where their uncompromising D-beat sound left its mark, the film portrays a band that continued to push boundaries long after splitting up. Spanning four decades of music, chaos and enduring legends, it moves between past and present. What emerges is the portrait of more than just a band: it is an attitude, a force of nature. The iconic voice of Tomas Jonsson, the band’s political edge and their raw energy provide the backdrop to the story of how Anti Cimex shaped both a sound and an entire subculture.
