When things get hectic at the White Horse Inn, it’s up to head waiter Leopold to distract the guests from the chaos with his smooth talk and a cheerful song on his lips. His only weakness is his love for his boss, Josepha, who wants nothing to do with him… Who needs Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis when you can have both in one person? Peter Alexander is not only a shrewd charmer, womaniser and talented singer, but also displays a wonderful flair for physical comedy in tricky situations: he even cuts a fine figure on water skis. A prime example of escapist, colourful, idealised cinema.
