Successful archaeologist and university professor Ursula Scheuner makes a sensational discovery while excavating in a peat bog: a human body that could rescue her financially struggling institute. At the same time, she is trying to come to terms with the recent death of her mother. As she clears out her childhood home, the boundaries between past and present begin to blur. Trapped in a labyrinth of loss and grief, Ursula must find her way back before she loses herself completely.
