How to Build a Library
More than half a century after most African nations gained independence, how can we address the impact of colonialism on the indigenous African population? In *HOW TO BUILD A LIBRARY*, directors Maia Lekow and Christopher King take a clear, methodical approach. Their documentary follows two Kenyan women as they attempt to transform a dilapidated colonial-era library in the heart of Nairobi. This monumental task requires patience, perseverance, and a willingness to confront the past.
