Gestalter seines Lebens
In autumn 2020 Richi Kunog’s life takes a fateful turn. At the time, he is only 26 years old. Locked-in syndrome leaves him “trapped” inside his body. His ability to think and feel emotions is unimpaired, but his body is almost completely paralysed. He can only communicate with people within his field of vision and answer yes or no by making small movements with his eyes.
This documentary follows Richi over the course of four years and shows his incredible progress. The hospital and the nursing facility have become his home. This is where he lives out his life and relationships. His daily life is punctuated by time-consuming, rudimentary communication and numerous treatments.
As master of his own life, he played a pivotal role in develo-ping this film.
