Fromme Lüge (Avril)

Avril is a novice in a remote Trappist monastery high in the mountains, where she was left at the convent gate shortly after her birth. Raised by the nuns, she is now told by Mother Marie-Joseph that it is time to take her final vows. Before doing so, she is to spend two weeks in solitary retreat in the monastery’s Holy Chapel. However, as she leaves, Sister Bernadette reveals a secret: Avril was not abandoned alone—there was also a baby boy, her twin brother, whom the abbess sent to an orphanage. Instead of entering her retreat, the young woman secretly sets out to find her brother and discovers a new path toward truth.
