From Inside Out – Die Architektur von Peter Zumthor

At the invitation of David Chipperfield, director Wim Wenders and architect Peter Zumthor collaborated on their first joint project: the short film *Notes From A Day In The Life Of An Architect*. As it turned out, this film was merely the prelude to something much larger. They discovered that they shared a similar working method—developing concepts from the inside out—and the desire to undertake a film project together grew increasingly strong. Consequently, this documentary explores Peter Zumthor’s work, centering on two of his upcoming architectural projects: the extension of the Fondation Beyeler in Riehen (near Basel) and the new building for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
