Frösche und Kröten
"If my brother needs frogspawn to get well, he’s going to get it," thinks Max, and sets off right away. Fortunately, he meets a girl named Jesse; after all, it isn’t easy for little kids to be out on their own. Where do you get the bus fare, for instance? And what do you do if you run into a wild fox? While petting pigs and watching beetles, the two keep forgetting the reason for their outing, but in the end, Max and Jesse—frogspawn in hand—arrive safely in Grandma’s pancake kitchen.
Precise observations of nature, musical interludes, an episodic narrative style, and camera angles set at the children’s eye level make "Kikkerdril" an ideal film for very young festival-goers.
