In "Beirut Outtakes" and "The Falling Sky", found footage is recycled into reflections on crisis—in one instance, material discovered in an abandoned Beirut cinema; in the other, clips from an online news portal. Ahwesh explores landscapes and their political significance in "Kansas Atlas" and "The Wayfinders", spanning a geographical arc that reaches from the center of the USA to a Palestinian airport taken over by Israel in 1967. In "Alluvium", too, the artist—whose father is Syrian—addresses her connection to the occupied West Bank.
