Dabernig’s interest in football is explored in surprising ways in the performance *Ticket Content* and also served as the starting point for his acclaimed solo debut, *Wisla*. *Jogging* heads toward a futuristic stadium, pointing the way to another thematic area: cars. In *Parking*, characters step out of their vehicles for an absurd BDSM ritual; in the beautifully melancholic Italian-style road movie *Lancia Thema*, they step out to confront ignorant self-images. Yet Dabernig’s humor also works in the dining car, where staff must occupy themselves in the absence of guests: *WARS* depicts stasis in motion. (C.H.)
