FATHER MOTHER SISTER BROTHER is a feature film, but it is carefully constructed in the form of a triptych. All three stories deal with the relationships between adult children, their sometimes distant parents (or one parent), and each other. Each of the three chapters is set in the present day—and in a different country.

“Father” takes place in the northeastern United States, ‘Mother’ in Dublin, Ireland, and “Sister Brother” in Paris, France. The film is a series of character studies: quiet, observant, and nonjudgmental—a comedy interwoven with threads of melancholy.

Director's Statement: FATHER MOTHER SISTER BROTHER is a kind of anti-action film, its subtle and quiet style carefully constructed to allow small details to accumulate — almost like flowers being carefully placed in three delicate arrangements.
