Inspired by the English term "fling"—a carefree romance or casual affair—SLASH proudly hops into bed with the international comedy and animation film festival Short Com for *Fantastic Flings I*. This joint program views relationships through a genre lens and showcases short film favorites from both festivals, true to the motto: "We’ll show you ours if you show us yours!"

Featuring hauntings that invite laughter rather than fear, and murderers who are sometimes more clumsy than competent, this program guides you through the broad spectrum of fantastic cinema—always with an unexpectedly humorous twist. From lovestruck, troublesome ghosts and bloodthirsty critters out for revenge to complex interstellar affairs, miniature romances, and the arduous quest for the bones of a long-lost brother (who might just be a rabbit!), get ready for the quirky, whimsical, and wonderful collaboration that is Slash-Com.
