Etwas ganz Besonderes
Seventeen-year-old Lea is confronted with the question of her identity on a singing talent show, but is left without a clear answer. This uncertainty is also reflected in her everyday life, as her family’s guesthouse in a small town in Thuringia is on the brink of financial ruin. At the same time, the separation of her parents, Matze and Rieke, complicates her search for direction. Lea seeks support from her aunt Kati, who, as a museum director, seems to navigate life with confidence. But the EU-funded renovation of her museum is causing tensions in the economically disadvantaged region. Meanwhile, Lea’s best friend Bonny is completely consumed by her own feelings after falling in love with her cousin Edgar. Amid family and personal upheavals, Lea’s journey to finding herself comes under increasing pressure.
