Based in New York and Vienna, she has been working successfully for more than five decades at the intersection of art, fashion and advertising photography, and can look back on an impressive career spanning Europe and the USA. Many of her sophisticated visual compositions have become legendary. Semotan’s work is characterised by her strong personality and her constant resistance to the mainstream.
