Following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, many people in Russia are faced with a difficult decision: military service, prison, or exile. Margarita, Yuri, and their friends refuse to bow to the regime, leave the country, and search for a new home. For them, there is no longer a place to return to, and no place where they truly feel welcome.
