Hot summer days in New York City. In Brooklyn, the young student Adnan is looking after his uncle's apartment. In Chinatown, he works at a gallery exhibiting the playful, sexually charged embroideries of the older artist Sal, with whom he shared a tender affair a year earlier. In the present, he drifts into nocturnal encounters with Yariel, a young food delivery courier, while the memory of his great love, the writer Iggie, continues to echo through his life. Past and present intertwine as Adnan wanders between hook-ups and the city's restless hum, between glittering urban canyons and an enchanted forest.
