This film is about a mysterious "driver" who works in a garage and is a Hollywood stuntman. To earn some extra money, he drives getaway cars on the side. He befriends his neighbour Irene. Her husband is released from prison and owes some people money, so the "driver" ends up doing a job for him. But it goes wrong and the mysterious man gets involved in a crime he didn't want to be involved in.
