Karla von Stelzenbül is a not-quite-blue-blooded "True Berliner Plant." In her Mercedes, she's on her way to Italy in 1927. During a stopover in Innsbruck, she undergoes questioning by the police. The mysterious disappearance of an actress in Berlin puzzles authorities. The Innsbruck commissioner and Karla von Stelzenbül delve deeper into the quagmire of Berlin's nightlife during the interrogation. Flashbacks intersect with shady, eccentric characters crossing their paths. Theater and film form a ludicrous union in this crime comedy set in the roaring twenties.
