Dimilî: Ewro Tirkî Yasax A
Istanbul in the bright light of day. Outside, in the courtyard of Fahri Ergün’s farm, an important rule is posted: “Turkish is forbidden!” Every day, all the Dimilî speakers who visit this farm gather together, perform the rituals of the Festival of Sacrifice, sit down, and speak exclusively in their native tongue, Dimilî. In Istanbul, this place has become a special and unique space—a sanctuary where a language threatened with extinction can find a voice and continue to live on.
