Die Stadt und die Erinnerung
Die Stadt und die Erinnerung, a cinematic essay by Gabriele Hochleitner (TROG), is a deeply personal attempt to explore Rome and the life of Ingeborg Bachmann. Shot on 16mm in 2000, the film features conversations with poets, teachers, and ordinary people, who talk about their own lives and the beauty of their city. The result is an unusual and original portrait of Rome, a city that has been filmed countless times.
