First, the blonde mop of hair of a dead woman is found in a gravel pond near Wiener Neustadt, soon afterwards a foot and a knee turn up: The fatal piecework puzzles Pitten police station chief Franzi (Nina Proll) and her colleague Michael (Karl Fischer), both already somewhat bored with everyday provincial life. "It's about body parts and passions", is how Michael Glawogger described his latest feature film: a small TV "country thriller" as a great world cinema (and love story), delightfully immersed in the regional atmosphere and local language of Glawogger's home town of Pitten, celebrating the playful, twisted and multi-layered love of association that makes his indomitable work so inexhaustible.
