Der magische Dschungel
Nine-year-old Elisabeth is spending her summer holidays with her parents in the Venezuelan rainforest. When her parents are suddenly called away to the city, she is left to look after her little brother Leo—who promptly vanishes without a trace. Her search takes her deep into the jungle, where she must not only rescue her brother but also free a magical creature from captivity and return it to the legendary "tepui" (tabletop mountain).
Inspired by a true story, the film tells a tale about the courage to take responsibility. The skillful blend of cut-out animation and computer animation brings to life expressive characters and richly detailed backgrounds in a fascinating array of colors.
