There is no room for adventure in Stefan Busch’s everyday life in a supported shared flat. But during a group outing, his life takes a fateful turn: without hesitation, the young man – whom everyone simply calls Buschi – joins a Japanese tour group. On this unusual road trip – through Germany, Switzerland and Japan – a gentle friendship begins to blossom between Buschi and Hideo Kitamura. Buschi, who has spent his whole life refusing to communicate with those around him through language, comes into his own in this unfamiliar environment.
