Das Schweigen (The Silence)
Ester, her sister Anna and Anna’s nine-year-old son Johann are forced to interrupt their journey home because Ester, who suffers from lung disease, has a breakdown. They spend the night in a strange town whose inhabitants speak an incomprehensible language. Apart from them, the bizarre hotel is home only to a group of Lilliputians. Completely cut off from the outside world and unable to communicate with one another, they are swept into a maelstrom of sexual desire, excess and hatred.
