Das Kino
A dark room with seating, oriented toward a rectangle upon which images are projected: cinema. Eleven individuals—who have dedicated a significant portion of their lives to this medium, this art form—discuss what cinema has been, is, and could yet become. Presented in a starkly minimalist "talking heads" format, these filmmakers, curators, writers, and educators share insights into their work with—and their personal relationships to—cinema and film. "People like me are actually just crazy," one of them remarks. Anyone who considers themselves similarly "cinema-crazy" will find great joy in this expansive, impassioned stream of thought.
