Belgium, 1916. Trench warfare rages in the midst of World War I. The young soldier Pierre arrives at the Belgian front full of idealism—ready to prove himself. Behind the lines, he meets Francis, who is tasked with boosting troop morale through music and theater. With meager resources, a theatrical revue takes shape: role-playing, humor, and art offer the soldiers a fleeting refuge from the cruelty of war. But what happens when the performance comes to an end?
