In 2024, the Israeli Film Academy awarded the film three Ophirs, the highest honour, in the categories of Best Film, Best Director and Best Actress. In 2025, it was submitted by Israel as its candidate for the International Feature Film Oscar. It is an emotionally gripping film about youth, siblings, loss, love, passion and, above all, grief. A grief that must be actively lived through in Israel today, which at first glance appears to have nothing to do with 7 October 2023, yet in many scenes establishes an indirect connection and a touching psychological closeness. As with many recent films from Israel, we encounter familiar family names among the directors; in this case, Tom Nesher, the daughter of the renowned director Avi Nesher.
