Fanny and Tom have been happily married for over twenty years. Tom, an engineer with a passion for perfectionism, prefers tinkering with inventions. The family finances are empty, and their house—along with his beloved workshop—must be sold. Things could hardly be going worse when Fanny confides a secret to him one day: she has never had an orgasm in her life. Inspired by her highly committed sex therapist, she is determined to change that and begins an intensive “training program.” Tom is shocked, but what follows is not a crisis—it becomes a pact. The engineer, of course, takes the matter personally—and literally. Fanny and Tom research, laugh, fail, argue, run from the police, steal their daughter’s entire stash of drugs, and end up rediscovering both each other and their love in completely unexpected ways.
