Center Stage

Following the screening, there will be a discussion with members of the Vienna State Ballet.

This was *the* dance film of the 2000s and remains a cult classic among ballet fans and dancers to this day. *Center Stage* tells the story of ballet students in New York, all sharing the same dream but facing different challenges. American ballet stars like Julie Kent, Sascha Radetsky, and Ethan Stiefel play leading roles, as do the passionate and dazzling choreographies—one of which was created by Christopher Wheeldon, whose *The Winter’s Tale* is being brought to Austria for the first time by the Vienna State Ballet.
