Boogie Nights

Boogie Nights (1997) is a quirky and fast-paced journey through the porn industry of the 70s and 80s. Young Eddie Adams, played by Mark Wahlberg, discovers that he is blessed with a very unique “talent”—one that brings him great fame in the adult film business under the name Dirk Diggler. Surrounded by a colorful crew, including a wise director (Burt Reynolds), a maternal porn actress (Julianne Moore), and plenty of eccentric supporting characters, Dirk experiences the glitz and glamor of the industry but also the inevitable downfall caused by drugs and the obsession with fame.

Boogie Nights combines humor, flashy outfits, and even flashier parties with a surprisingly emotional story about family, belonging, and the search for a place in life—all set against the chaotic backdrop of the porn industry.
