Cruchot, the famous gendarme from St Tropez, is back and has his hands full. During a speed trap, he meets the smartly dressed Josépha and immediately falls in love with her. Meanwhile, Cruchot applies for a promotion, takes up diving and tries to arrest an escaped convict. A feel-good film starring the comic actor Louis de Funès, France’s biggest star of the 1960s.
