Due to a missing link in the motorway route between Warsaw and Rotterdam, thousands of trucks pass through the center of Bad Oeynhausen every day. When the German town faces the threat of losing its status as a spa resort as a result, plans are made to close the gap. For more than eight years, the Dutch-German documentary filmmaker followed the residents affected by the long and arduous process of completing the missing section of motorway.
