Adventureland
Welcome to the 1980s: College graduate James had actually been looking forward to spending the summer exploring Europe, but his trip falls through. Reluctantly, he takes a summer job at an amusement park, where, however, a very different kind of adventure awaits him when he falls in love with his colleague Em. Perhaps it will turn out to be the best summer of his life after all? In his charismatic coming-of-age story, SUPERBAD director Greg Mottola draws on his own experiences to present a host of endearing and quirky characters, as well as a melancholic look at that phase of life where plans for the future collide with reality. Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg, both relatively early in their careers, shine in this bittersweet summer film.
