Following a fatal traffic accident, Branko attempts to use his connections to cover up the incident. His partner, Sofija, however, cannot live with the guilt; she finds herself increasingly torn between loyalty, fear, and a desire for justice. Director Marko Novaković tells this story with quiet precision, eschewing spectacular effects in favour of steadily mounting moral tension. What starts as a personal drama gradually lays bare the mechanisms of a system where corruption, political cronyism, and complicity have become the norm. Most chilling of all is the realisation that the true accomplices are not criminals but ordinary people who simply look the other way out of convenience or self-interest. Driven by an intense performance from Nevena Nerandžić as Sofija, this intelligent, atmospheric film questions the nature of responsibility and moral courage. How much truth can a society withstand?
