Four short films from mountains around the world.
In 2024, Alexander Huber and Simon Gietl made the first ascent of a new route on the Heiligkreuzkofel in the Dolomites: 230 metres of climbing at a difficulty of up to 9+, without any bolts. Jürgen Gerstl’s APPASSIONATA follows them a year later as they make the first free ascent of the route. Climbing becomes a composition, movement an expression of its own: a portrait of the rhythm of the mountains and the power of passion.
FAR ENOUGH follows 22-year-old Jean Rouaux on his journey from Chamonix to Ama Dablam in Nepal. Travelling alone by bicycle, he covers 11,500 kilometres and 80,000 metres of elevation gain on a journey defined by solitude, endurance and pushing beyond his limits.
In SHORI GZA, four snowboarders travel through Georgia. Looking beyond the clichés, they encounter a country rich in culture, resilience and stories. A political snowboard film that combines spectacular landscapes with the social realities of a nation caught between its past and an uncertain future.
In 2024, Lise Billon, Fanny Schmutz and Maud Vanpoulle achieved the first ascent of the south-east ridge of Cerro Torre in Patagonia by an all-female team. In PATAGONIAN CHIMERA, they take on the legendary “Compressor Route”, a climb shrouded in myths and controversy for decades. This dreamlike film tells the story of an extraordinary mountaineering achievement, friendship and the place of women in a male-dominated mountain world.
