Escape the heat, dive into the excitement!
When the Viennese asphalt is sizzling, we flee into the cool darkness. With this year’s summer program, SUMMER IN THE CITY, we invite you on a city trip far from kitsch and postcard-perfect idylls. Nine films, four continents: We’ll wander through Paris in a love-drunk haze, find ourselves stranded in the sleepless neon glow of Tokyo and Hong Kong, breathe in the soundscapes of Istanbul, and feel the relentless heartbeat of Rio. Pure, pulsating cinematic adventures about searching, loving, and living in the world’s great cities.
On July 20 & 21, our Popfest Warm-up will also take place, featuring talks with Sofie Royer and Wolfgang Lehmann! The films will be announced soon.
