International Children’s Film Festival

The Children’s Film Festival brings the best international children’s film productions to the Votiv Kino—for young cinephiles aged 4 to 14 and film-loving companions of all ages. Whether experiencing adventures, encountering magical creatures, unraveling mysterious secrets, or facing the challenges of everyday life—both big and small—we will immerse ourselves in the diverse worlds of courageous protagonists and experience stories from their perspectives. The festival films take young people seriously, honoring their hopes and dreams as well as their worries; some are funny, others thought-provoking, but all are special and moving. This year, the 15 feature films and two short film programs take us to destinations ranging from Switzerland, France, Scandinavia, and Great Britain to Mexico, Brazil, and Canada. Almost all festival films are screened in their original language with live German voice-over in the cinema.
