Wundersames Kiental

A small village in the Swiss mountains: Kiental. Lenin held a secret meeting here and Friedrich Dürrenmatt used the village as inspiration for his play "The Visit of the Old Lady". The mysteriously unknown cameraman Landtwing filmed there in the 1950s. The singer and filmmaker Christina Zurbrügg was born in Kiental and has turned the well-preserved film reels into a Heimatfilm full of poetry and humor, between memory and now. As a found-footage remix, the film combines incredible archive work with literary village comedy.
