World Between Us
Over a period of five years, the film follows Marie and Thomas, who are partners both professionally and privately. It allows us to share in their mutual passion for art, their fearlessness in realising their visions, and the boundless efforts required to do so. It shows the defining moments of two young artists' careers, peppered with uncertainties and obstacles. The film is about the desire to be accepted in a new place, but also to find recognition in one's old home. No longer feeling at home in her hometown, Marie moves to America, but even there she does not feel like she belongs. The phenomenon of cutting one's roots, moving to another place and finding a new home is a universal theme.
