Wohin und zurück – Teil 3: Welcome in Vienna

This is how the French film magazine Cahiers du Cinéma "discovered" Corti and ensured that WELCOME IN VIENNA became one of the most successful films in France in 1986. The conclusion of the trilogy takes Freddy back to occupied and destroyed Europe in the winter of 1944, where he meets old acquaintances as a soldier in Alsace. After the capitulation, he goes to Vienna, but among the former "Heil" shouters, egoists, optimists and idealists, he finds no stability and is torn between his homeland and America.
