Wir bitten zum Tanz
Karl Hofeneder has owned a thriving dance school for years when he gets competition. Georg Roublé, of all people, who once stole his wife, opens a similar establishment nearby. The already fierce competition gathers pace, because he has forbidden her to dance, Roublé's daughter Sylvia secretly takes lessons with Hofeneder and makes the acquaintance of a young man. However, the resulting entanglements are eventually followed by a private reconciliation and even a school merger ... Critics at the time praised the local color and period atmosphere, but failed to mention the "Anschluss" symbolism, which propagates the advantages of merging two institutions as the most effective means of solving problems.
