Inspired by the remarkable achievements of Bulgarian Paralympic long jump world champion Mihail Hristov, this heartening drama showcases the acting skills of Naum Shopov as an indomitable individual determined to overcome great hurdles. After suffering a horrific electrical accident at the age of just 15 (his left arm was amputated up to the shoulder, the right below the elbow), Hristov dedicated himself to a career in professional sport. To succeed, he has to overcome mental and physical challenges every step of the way, while also dealing with family and romantic entanglements. A film that reminds us that not all heroes wear a cape.
