While rumours circulate that Mayor Lueger is dying, his opponents are already forming: Jews, social democrats and liberals. But Lueger recovers briefly - and prophesies both the downfall of the monarchy and the dawn of a Greater German Reich ... Numerous censorship interventions delayed the completion of the film by two years. The colossal flop was not even released in the ‘Ostmark’.
