Two grand masters of martial arts cinema go head-to-head in this quick-witted double feature: Jackie Chan (the student) and Bruce Lee (the teacher). As a clumsy good-for-nothing, Chien Fu has actually already been written off at his kung fu school until an old beggar initiates him into the art of the snake technique. With ludicrous choreography and breakneck stunts, this mix of slapstick and slapstick proves to be a highlight of the Hong Kong wave of the late 1970s. A few years earlier, this wave was initiated by none other than Bruce Lee, who is able to prove for the second time on the big screen what a machine he is: After his teacher dies in an obscure manner, the student increasingly descends into madness: a key work.
