We Need To Talk About Kevin

Former star adventurer Eva (played by Oscar winner Tilda Swinton) carries a heavy emotional burden. The reason for this is her son Kevin, who even as a baby shows a wilful distance that makes it difficult for mother Eva to build up closeness. While father Franklin (John C. Reilly) sees nothing unusual about his son, Eva is concerned about his lack of empathy and his lust for destruction. Director Lynne Ramsay only gradually reveals the family drama in an exciting and moving way. She shows how the happy family slides into a catastrophe of unforeseen proportions.
