WATERSHIP DOWN is an animated film about rabbits. But it's not necessarily a film for children. Just ask the adults whose childhood came to an abrupt end after watching it. It is a film about escape, survival and the violence of nature, told with the seriousness of an ancient epic. Hazel, Fiver, Bigwig and their companions leave their home because one of them has a vision of the destruction of the warren. They do not know when or if this vision will become reality, only that they must leave.

What follows is an odyssey through forests, fields and roads. They encounter foxes, dogs, humans, but also other rabbits who live in apparent safety while death lurks in the grass. The world is beautiful, but it is not good. And life is a constant balancing act between instinct and hope.
