Was ist Film – Programm 43

FromKurt Kren

Year1996

Duration53min.

Peter Kubelka created the Cyclical Program *What is Film* in 1996 on the occasion of the centenary of cinema. As Kubelka defines it, the program "defines the film as an independent art form through examples, as a tool that conveys new ways of thinking. In doing so, it provides young filmmakers and anyone seriously engaging with the medium of film a fundamental overview in 63 programs."

The book accompanying the cycle – *What is Film: Peter Kubelka's Cyclical Program at the Austrian Film Museum* – is available at the Film Museum’s ticket desk for a special price of 9 euros.
