Was ist Film – Programm 27

FromMichael Snow

Year1980

Duration98min.

In 1996, Peter Kubelka curated the *Cyclical Program: What is Film* to mark the centenary of cinema. The program, according to Kubelka, “defines film as an independent art form, as a tool that conveys new ways of thinking, through examples. In 63 programs, it provides young filmmakers and anyone seriously engaging with the medium of film a fundamental overview.”

The book accompanying the cycle—*What is Film: Peter Kubelka’s Cyclical Program at the Austrian Film Museum*—is available at the Film Museum’s box office for a special price of €9.
