Was ist Film – Programm 18
In 1996, to commemorate the centenary of cinema, Peter Kubelka curated the cyclical program "Was ist Film" ("What is Film") at the Austrian Film Museum. This series aims to define film as an independent art form and a tool that fosters new ways of thinking. It offers young filmmakers and those seriously engaging with the medium a comprehensive overview through 63 curated programs.
The accompanying book, "Was ist Film: Peter Kubelkas Zyklisches Programm im Österreichischen Filmmuseum," is available at the museum's box office for €9.
